7.1 Preparing Tools

Phillips screwdrivers: P1-100mm, P2-150mm, P3-250mm
z
Flat-blade screwdrivers: P4-75mm
z
ESD-preventive wrist straps, ESD-preventive gloves
z
Antistatic bags, antistatic pads
Note:
None of the above-mentioned tools are shipped with the SecPath F1000-E firewall.
7.2 Precautions
z
Maintain the firewall hardware under the guidance of the local dealer or technical
support engineers appointed by H3C.
z
To avoid injuries, ensure that all power sources to the firewall are disconnected
before maintaining any hardware modules of the firewall.
z
Always wear an ESD-preventive wrist strap or ESD-preventive gloves when
maintaining the firewall hardware. For more information, refer to section 3.1.4
“Electrostatic Discharge Prevention” in Chapter 3 “Preparing for Installation”.
z
Put the removed memory modules, CF card, and HIM on an antistatic worktable
with the PCB side facing upward or place them in antistatic bags.
z
When checking or moving a removed memory module, CF card, or HIM, avoid
touching any components on the PCB.
