Caution:

Do not touch the surface-mounted components of the memory module directly with
your hands. Hold the memory module only at its non-conductive edge. Because a
memory module is vulnerable to ESD, improper operation may damage it.

Do not use too much force in the operation.
z
To protect the removed memory module, place it in an antistatic bag.
7.8.5 Installing a Memory Module
Follow these steps to install a memory module:
1)
Make sure all power supplies to the firewall are disconnected.
2) Align the polarization notch on the mating edge of the memory module with the
polarization key in the memory module connector.
3) Position the memory module so that it is perpendicular to the main board and
insert the memory module into the connector.
4)
Carefully and firmly press the memory module at both ends until you hear a click.
This indicates the memory module is seated in the connector.
5)
Check that the latches have firmly locked the memory module in position.
