Symptom 3
Symptom
The ALM LED is steady on or flashing, which indicates that the firewall is faulty.
For example, the ALM LED is on when the system is over-temperature. In this case, the system displays the
following error message:

CPU temperature critical in Slot 3, index is 1.
Solution
Examine the messages displayed on the configuration terminal and the software management tool, such
as the system temperature and module voltage alarms.
If the cause cannot be located in the previous step and the problem persists, record the above
information, and contact your local sales agent.
Service module failures
Symptom 1
Symptom
The RUN LED of the service module is off, which indicates that the service module is powered off or faulty.
Solution
1.
Verify that the firewall is powered on.
2.
Verify that the service module is plugged in a right slot (slot 1 through slot 4).
3.
If the service module is plugged in a right slot, you can be sure that the service module is faulty. In
this case, executing the
display version
command displays the following error message:
Slot3:
The Board is present, state is unknown
If the cause cannot be located in the previous steps and the problem persists, contact your local sales

Symptom 2
Symptom
Twenty minutes after the firewall is powered on or the service module is plugged into the firewall, the
RUN LED still fast flashes at 8 Hz, which indicates that the service module application program fails to
start or the service module is faulty. In this case, the service module is in position. If you enter the
display
version
command, the system displays the following error message:
