High operating temperature
Symptom
The temperature of the device is higher than the normal operating temperature (45°C or 113°F).
Solution
To resolve the issue:
1.
Verify that the fan tray is operating correctly.
2.
Verify that the operating environment is well ventilated.
3.
If the temperature of the device exceeds 60°C (140°F), the following alarm information is
displayed on the configuration terminal:

Board temperature is too high on Chassis 0 Slot 0, type is RPU.
Use the
display environment
command to examine whether the temperature of the
device keeps rising. If the temperature exceeds 90°C (194°F), power off the device immediately
and contact H3C Support.

If the issue persists, contact H3C Support.
Software loading failure
Symptom
Software loading fails and the system continues running the previous software version.
Solution
To resolve the issue:
1.
Verify that the physical port is connected securely. If the port is not connected securely,
reconnect the port and make sure the connection is correct.
2.
Verify that the parameters are configured correctly. You can examine the software loading
process displayed on the HyperTerminal for configuration errors. For example:

Xmodem
—The console port baud rate is set to a value other than 9600 bps, but the baud
rate of the HyperTerminal is not set to 9600 bps simultaneously.
{
TFTP
— An incorrect IP address, software name, or TFTP serve path is configured.
{
FTP
— An incorrect IP address, software name, username, or password is configured.
