The MS is connected to the LS in two modes:
z
Centralized networking: the MS and the LS are deployed on the same XE IP PBX,
where the LS mode of the MS is set to “local”.
z
Distributed networking: the MS and the LS are deployed on two different XE IP
PBXs, where the LS mode of the MS is set to “remote”.

1.2.2 Uploading Media Resource Files
Typically, FTP or TFTP is used to upload media resource files to the XE IP PBX. For
how to upload files through TFTP, refer to section 5.4 “TFTP Configuration” in the
“System Management Operation” module of this manual. The following sections
describe how to upload media files in batch mode through FTP.
