Fuse Check / Replacement
Verify Machine Operation
Power on the machine.
Zero Return and verify that there are no alarms generated during this process.
If alarms occur, check the fuse again and check for a short circuit in the axis drive system. Refer to the
following troubleshooting guides:
SIGMA 5 - AXIS SERVO MOTOR AND CABLES - TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
SERVO AMPLIFIER - TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
HIGH VOLTAGE 320V POWER SUPPLY (MMPS) - TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Turn off the main circuit breaker.
Danger:
Do not discharge the power supply
using a resistor, this will cause the fuse to blow.
Wait until the HV light [1] on the 320V Power
Supply turns off.
The fuse [2] is inside the 320V Power Supply.
Remove the old fuse from the fuse holder [3].
Set the multimeter [4] to Ohms.
Probe the metal ends of the fuse.
Replace the fuse if the multimeter reads open
(O.L).
