5. Regular inspections
According to the German Ordinance on Industrial Health and Safety (BetrSichV), the operating company must speci-
fy inspection intervals on the basis of a risk assessment. The inspection must be performed by a qualified person.

3. Use
To unfold the platform, first climb one rung higher on the ladder than the rung that the platform is atta-
ched to. Then with a sideways movement of the tip of your foot, fold the platform forwards so that it rests
on the ladder rung. Fold the second platform section forward in the same way. The platform is now in wor-
king position. After use, lift the platform with the tip of your foot and fold it backwards.
4. Distances between rest platforms according to standards and the effective length of the
ladder systems
* A rest platform provides space for more than one person.
A rest platform is only necessary if the vertical ladder system is climbed by more than one person.
