3624 ProBrix Plus - Calibrations
Operator Manual
ORBISPHERE
5.3.3 Absolute Calibration
This is applicable to
diet
and
T.A.
product units only.
The dialog box will initially display zeros in the last five measurements column.
These values are then updated every 15 seconds, as new as measurements are
taken. The last five measurements are continually displayed (the latest being at the
top of the list), along with a standard deviation value based on these
measurements.
When the measurements indicate a stable condition, press
OK
to close the dialog
box and apply the most recent reading (
n1
) as the new water coefficient. This new
coefficient will be applied as the water correction factor for all diet and T.A.
products. Note that this update process may take a long time as
all
the products
for this LINE are updated.
Selecting the
Default
button will reset the water correction factor to zero for all diet
and T.A. products, and
Cancel
will close this dialog box without changing the
current parameters.
Once the water calibration is complete, you can now go through the product
calibration process. This is achieved by selecting the
Calibration
button in the
Products List
window for the required product. This will display the density of the
syrup (at 20°C) and the mixing ratio (volume of syrup to volume of water), which
can
only
be modified if this is a diet product (not applicable to T.A. products).
Pressing
OK
will apply these new parameters to future measurements of this product. To
return to the default parameters for all four values, select the
Default
button.
Before doing a calibration, it is necessary to check
your water calibration coefficient first. This can be
done during the next rinse-down period.
Make sure you have set the
Water Calibration
Status
to
On
(see
) and select water (product number 0) as
the product for measuring. As you start the
measurement process, a new dialog box appears
automatically.
Fig 5-4:
Water Calibration
The current Slope value is displayed, along
with the Water calibration coefficient
calculated during the water calibration run
described above. These can be changed if
required.
By pressing
Calculate
, a new slope
(actual diet calibration coefficient)
value is computed for the product.
