Potential explosion hazard. The instrument is not approved for use in hazardous locations.
The instrument can be powered by an external long-life battery, an AS950 power supply or other
source that can supply power in the specified range (refer to
on page 3 and
Replacement parts and accessories
on page 25). If the logger has both external power and internal
batteries, the internal batteries are used as an auxiliary power supply. When the external power falls
below approximately 9 V, the internal batteries supply power until the voltage from the external
source is above 9 V.

Install the external power source in a safe location near the logger. Be sure to obey all safety
precautions for the power supply.

Attach the cable from the power source to the AUX connector on the logger (
