Safety notes for the regulatory use of the device:

Do not operate the device near highly flammable substances, such
as fuels, easily combustible chemicals and explosives.
•
Do not operate the device near combustible gases, vapors or dust.
•
Do not subject the device to strong vibrations or impacts.
•
Do not open the device.
•
If you do not use the device in accordance with regulations, this
leads to loss of the guarantee.
Chemical and biological safety
With normal operation of this device the use of chemicals that pose a
risk health or of biologically harmful samples can be required.
•
Before handling these substances observe all danger notes and
safety information printed on the containers of the original solutions
and in the safety data sheet.
•
Dispose of all consumed solutions in accordance with the national
regulations and laws.
•
Select the type of protective equipment according to the
concentration and quantity of the dangerous substance at the
respective work place.

Operating environment
Observe the following points so that the device functions faultlessly and
thus has a long service life.
•
Place the device securely on an even surface. Push no objects
under the device.
•
The ambient temperature for transport, storage and operation must
be +10 to +30 °C (+50 – +86 °F).
•
The relative humidity must be under 80 % (no condensate
formation).
•
Keep above and on all sides of the device a clearance of at least
15 cm, so that air can circulate and overheating of the electrical
parts is avoided.

Working with chemical samples, standards and reagents is linked with dangers.
Make yourself familiar with the necessary safety procedures and the correct
handling of the chemicals before the work and read and follow all relevant safety
data sheets.

Some circuits in this device are protected by fuses against overvoltages. For
constant protection against risk of fire, replace these fuses only with fuses of the
same type and power rating.

Defective fuses generally indicate a problem in the device. If fuse errors
repeatedly occur, contact the service department for instructions on the return
procedure for repair purposes. Under no circumstances attempt to repair the
device independently.

Protect the device against extreme temperatures from heaters, direct sunlight and
