Electric connection
Before you plug the power plug into the power outlet, ensure that the
mains voltage corresponds with that of the appliance. You can find
information about this on the rating plate. Only connect the appliance
to a properly installed earthed socket.
Before initial use
1.
Clean t
he grill plates as described under “Cleaning”.
2.
Open the safety lock by moving the slider from LOCK position to
OPEN position.
3.
Close the contact grill and insert the main cable plug in a power
socket.
4.
Allow the appliance to heat up for about 5 minutes on the maximum
temperature by turning the heat level control as far as the right-
hand stop.
NOTE: This process normally produces a small amount of smoke.
Ensure adequate ventilation for example by opening a window.
5.
Disconnect the mains plug from the wall socket.
6.
Let the appliance cool down completely.
7.
Wipe the grill surfaces with a damp cloth.
8.
Your appliance is now ready to use.
