Dear customer
Thank you for having chosen a HÆGERTEC product.
The HÆGERTEC products have been produced to think about the welfare of the
consumer privileging the most raised standards of quality, functionality and
assign. We are sure you will be happy with this appliance.
You will soon see the advantages of filtered water. To ensure optimum
operation, please follow these instructions
Care of System
–
Keep your water filter system out of sunlight and away from heating
elements, e.g., stove, coffee machine. We recommend you store your water
filter in a cool place.

Remember that water is a foodstuff. Please consume filtered water within
one to two days.

Wash the parts of your filter system regularly in warm soapy water at least
every time you change the filter cartridge. Do not use any abrasive
cleaners. Note: the jug and the funnel may be washed in the dishwasher.
The lid must not be washed in the dishwasher.

Should your system not be in use for a prolonged period (e.g., vacation), we
recommend that you discard any water left inside the system and leave the
cartridge inside the funnel. Before using the system again take out the
cartridge, clean the system, and repeat step two to four of the “Instructions
for
use”.
How the water filtering system works
The filter cartridge granulate is comprised of a mixture of activated carbon and
ion exchangers. These materials do not harm foods. They reduce lime scale and
substances found in tap water, such as chlorine, lead, copper, zinc, pesticides
and organic contaminants, among others.
In the water filtering system, the potable water is treated in 4 filtration stages:
Stage 1
: Preliminary filter through PP net: Eliminate suspended particles in
water.
Stage 2
: Attachment by active carbon: Eliminate unpleasant taste in water;
eliminate pesticides and residual pollutants; eliminate harmful
substances such as chlorine, tetrachloroethylene, perchloroethylene
and trihalomethane.
