1. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
2.1 Notes for the fitters
2.2 General safety
instructions
NOTE
The installation instructions are intended for qualified personnel (such as cabinet
makers, joiners, furniture manufacturers).
The following basic instructions must be applied during the installation.
Basic safety instructions:
> Do not carry the TV lift by the cable.
> Check all delivered product components for damages prior to the in-
stallation! Never install damaged product components, but complain to
the manufacturer.
> Never modify or replace plug and cable.
> Do not omit any delivered parts. Adhere to the assembly sequence.
Do not install any parts that are not approved by the manufacturer.
> Attach the manual switch inaccessible for children. Verify that children
cannot access the control unit. Install the cables so that children
cannot be caught in these or be strangled.
> When installing rotating product versions, verify that sufficient clear
space for turning is available around the furniture item.
Electrical safety:
> Do not install and store product components and cables near hot
surfaces, heat sources, easily flammable materials or areas with direct
sunlight.
> Never expose product components and cables to humidity and never
install or store near water, damp, aggressive or potentially explosive
areas.
> An earthed shockproof socket installed according to national
regulations must be available for the electrical connection. The
connection data of the socket must match the connection data of the
TV lift (see chapter “
2.3 Installation requirements / Technical data
”).
> Install product components so that the power cable can be connected
directly to the socket. The use of output extenders or adapters is
prohibited!
> Do not jam, crush, bend or damage the cable during the installation
(e.g. by drilling, cutting). Do not place cable over sharp edges or cor-
ners. Install cable at a sufficient distance to movable or rotating parts.
> Clearly (but without any strain) tie together excessively long cables by
using cable ties or a strain relief device. The cable routing must be
clearly recognisable.
> Do not place cables on the floor. They could become a hazardous
tripping risk and become damaged by being walked on.
