Q:
There is water under filter canister feet.
A:
1. During filter cartridge maintenance, water has
seeped into the gap between the motor base
and the top shell and is siphoning between the
filter canister layers.
2. A gasket (probably that of the filter canister) or
the chemical cartridge is missing.
Q:
The conductivity graph shows sudden drops.
A:
The conductivity reading is only precise and
stabilized after 24-48 hours of filter operation.
Variations may be due to:
- Toping off aquarium with clean water
- Cleaning or maintenance operations, after which
the reading is not accurate for 24hrs.
- Sudden infiltration of air into the system.
- Conductivity sensor pins have been cleaned the
wrong way (do not clean conductivity metal pins
with paper, detergents, cloth etc. Simply rinse
them with clean water).
- The mechanical cartridge is clogged.
