Top- of- Range Cookware
Aluminum:
Medium- weight cookware is recommended
because it heat s quickly and evenly. Most foods brown evenly
in an aluminum skillet . Use saucepans wit h t ight - fit t ing lids
when cooking wit h minimum amount s of wat er.
Stainless Steel:
This met al alone has poor heat ing propert ies
and is usually combined wit h copper, aluminum or ot her
met als for improved heat dist ribut ion. Combinat ion met al
skillet s usually work sat isfact orily if t hey are used wit h
medium heat or as t he manufact urer recommends.
Cast- Iron:
If heat ed slowly, most skillet s will give sat isfact ory
result s.
Enamelware:
Under some condit ions, t he enamel of some
cookware may melt . Follow t he cookware manufact urer’s
recommendat ions for cooking met hods.
Glass:
There are two types of glass cookware—those for
oven use only and those for top- of- range cooking (saucepans,
coffee and teapots). Glass conducts heat very slowly.
Heatproof Glass Ceramic:
Can be used for eit her surface or
oven cooking. It conduct s heat very slowly and cools very
slowly. Check t he cookware manufact urer’s direct ions t o be
sure it can be used on gas ranges.
Stove Top Grills
Do not use an aft er- market st ove t op grill on your gas
surface burners. A st ove t op grill will cause incomplet e
combust ion result ing in carbon monoxide levels above
allowable st andards. This could be hazardous t o your healt h.
Using a Wok
Use only a flat - bot t omed wok wit h a diamet er of 14 inches or
less. Make sure t he wok bot t om sit s flat on t he grat e.
Do not use a wok support ring. Placing t he ring over t he
burner or grat e may cause t he burner t o work improperly,
result ing in carbon monoxide levels above allowable
st andards. This could be hazardous t o your healt h.
OVEN CONTROLS
Oven Mode Selector Knob
Turn t he Oven Mode Select or knob t o t he mode you want .
Your oven has t he following cooking modes: Warm, Bake and
Broil. See Cooking Modes sect ion and St eam Clean for more
informat ion. The illuminat ed oven knob flashes orange during
preheat and t urns solid orange when t he oven is preheat ed.
The oven t emperat ure calibrat ion is cont rolled t hrough t he
Smart HQ app. To adjust t he oven t emperat ure, download
t he app from t he app st ore t o access t his feat ure.
APP ONLY PRODUCT SETTINGS
The Smart HQ Mobile App allows access t o addit ional
funct ions.
WiFi Connect and Remote Enable
Your oven is designed t o provide you wit h t wo- way
communicat ion bet ween your appliance and smart device. By
using t he WiFi Connect feat ures, you will turn t he Oven Mode
Selector Knob to APP. It is necessary to turn on WiFi before
using Remote Enable on your oven.
Remote starting your oven
To be able t o st art t he oven remot ely once connect ed t o
WiFi, t urn t he Oven Mode Select or Knob t o APP. The oven
can now be remot ely st art ed wit h a connect ed device. The
Oven Mode Select or Knob must be lit solid blue t o st art t he
oven remot ely. The blue light is not required t o change t he
oven t emperat ure while it is running or t o t urn t he oven off
from t he app. Aft er using t he oven, remember t o verify t hat
t he Oven Mode Select or Knob is lit soild blue if you wish t o
st art t he oven remot ely in t he fut ure.
In t he Smart HQ app select your appliance and t ouch t he
menu icon. From here select Product Set t ings t o choose
from t he many addit ional feat ures available t hrough your
Smart HQ app.
