6. Transport and storage
Caution, damage!
Incorrect handling of the step stool when transporting
and storage may lead to damage to the step stool.
NOTE
• Securely fold together step stool before and after
use as well as for storage and transport.
• In order to avoid any damage, the step stool
should be securely fastened (e.g., on roof carriers
or in the car).
• Step stools should be stored in accordance with
the producer‘s instructions.
• Step stools made of or using thermoplastic, ther-
mosetting plastic and reinforced plastic materials
should be stored out of direct sunlight.
• Store the step stool away from areas where its
condition could deteriorate more rapidly (e.g.
dampness, excessive heat, or exposed to the
elements).
• Store the step stool in a position which helps
it to remain straight (e.g. hung by the stiles on
proper ladder brackets or laid on a flat clutter free
surface).
• The step stool should be stored folded in a dry
environment vertically or lying flat.
• Store the step stool where it cannot be damaged by
vehicles, heavy objects, or contaminants?
• Store the step stool where it cannot cause a trip
hazard or an obstruction?
• Store the step stool in such a way that it is pro-
tected from children at play and no person can be
disabled by it.
• Store the step stool securely where it cannot be
easily used for criminal purposes.
• If the step stool is permanently positioned, make
sure it is secured against unauthorized climbing
(e.g. by children).
