Installation of the end stop
Installation of the end stop
An end stop is always used at the beginning or
end of a fall protection rail and is installed di-
rectly on the fall protection rail.
The hammerhead screw must be rotated in the
profile of the fall protection rail and positioned
with the square neck in the opening of the rail
profile. This is the only way to ensure a secure
connection, see chapter Assembly using ham-
merhead screw, Page 27.
Positioning of the end stop
The end top [X] can be positioned so that it is
located between the first two rungs of the access
ladder – both at the top and the bottom – after
the beginning of the rail.
Alternatively, the end stop [X] can be positioned
so that it is attached before the first rung at the
beginning of the top rail and after the last ladder
rung at the bottom.
Installation of the barrier for non-
approved fall arresters
An optional barrier for devices made by third
parties can be used. If necessary, the barrier is
installed at the beginning of a fall protection rail
(at a height of approx. 1.5 m from the begin-
ning of the rail).
The marking (label) on the barrier may be af-
fixed at a maximum distance of 3 m from the
access level (floor).
The hammerhead screw must be turned in the
profile of the fall protection rail and positioned
with the square neck in the opening
of the rail profile. This is the only way to ensure
a secure connection, see chapter Assembly us-
ing hammerhead screw, Page 27.
WARNING!
Danger of falling due to the fall arrester slid-
ing out of the fall protection rails
An end stop must be installed at the begin-
ning and end of an access route as well as at
each removal point or break in the fall pro-
tection rail to prevent the fall arrester from
inadvertently slipping out.
Safety stop during installation
WARNING!
Danger of falling due to the fall arrester slid-
ing out of the fall protection rails during in-
stallation
A safety stop to prevent unintentionally exit-
ing the fall-arrest system must be installed at
the top end of the rail in each section. This
safety stop is removed against once installa-
tion work is complete.
