The adaptation clamping device is intended to convert exter-
nal into internal stresses.
The adaptation clamping device sits directly on the basic
clamping device.
It does not need to be aligned.
The clamping element is mounted to the clamping device
with the coupling ring and the workpiece end-stop, and it
clamps the workpiece that is to be machined. To make it eas-
ier to install the clamping element, if necessary, which de-
pends on size, a suitable changing aid can be used to pre-
vent the clamping element from dropping during installation.
The workpiece end-stop is secured to the clamping device to
secure the clamping element and the coupling ring. Without
a workpiece end-stop or without securing the coupling ring,
the clamping device will not function and must not then be
used.
The clamping device functions on the pull-back principle.
When clamping, the clamping element performs an axial
movement towards the workpiece end-stop.
The mobile coupling draws the clamping element onto the
stationary taper.
This draws the workpiece firmly up against the stationary
workpiece end-stop.
