3. WARNINGS, CAUTIONS AND NOTES
WARNING
When power is ON, the tip and nozzle will be hot. To avoid injury or damage to
personnel and items in the work area, observe the following:
●
Do not touch the tip and nozzle or the metal parts near the tip and nozzle. Do not direct
the hot air toward personnel or touch the metal parts near the nozzle.
●
Do not allow the tip and nozzle to come close to, or touch, flammable materials.
●
Inform others in the area that the unit is hot and should not be touched.
●
Turn the power off when not in use, or left unattended.
●
Turn the power off when changing parts or storing the HAKKO FR-702.
●
This unit is for counter or workbench use only.
●
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in
safe way and understand the hazards involved.
●
Children shall not play with the appliance.
●
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children
without supervision.
To prevent accidents or damage to the HAKKO FR-702, be sure to observe the following:

Do not use the unit for applications other than soldering or desoldering.
●
Do not strike the handpiece against hard objects to remove excess solder. This will
damage the handpiece.
●
Do not modify the HAKKO FR-702.
●
Use only genuine HAKKO replacement parts.
●
Do not allow the HAKKO FR-702 to become wet, or use it when hands are wet.
●
Be sure to hold the plug when inserting or removing the handpiece and power cords.
●
Be sure the work area is well ventilated. Soldering and desoldering produces smoke.
●
While using the HAKKO FR-702, don't do anything which may cause bodily harm
or physical damage.
