6. Maintenance
The truck’s ability to operate satisfactorily depends on the carefulness of the maintenance. When
the maintenance is neglected, human safety may be endangered and property may be damaged.
When the truck is in operation, routine inspection should be conducted frequently and abnormalities
should be removed in time. Do not operate a truck with a defect or malfunction to ensure personnel
safety and prolong the service life of the truck.
Maintenance: The maintenance of the truck is divided into three levels: daily maintenance, 1
st
level
maintenance and 2
nd
level maintenance.
Daily maintenance: Conducted daily. The main content is to keep the truck surface clean and to
examine whether the power supply cable is damaged.
1
st
level maintenance: Conducted weekly. The main content (besides the content of daily
maintenance) should focus on checking whether each component functions normally, whether each
fastener/coupling is fixed, whether there is any oil leakage, whether there is any abnormal wearing
in mechanical components, whether there are abnormal temperature rise or sparks in the electric
equipment, etc. Adjustment and troubleshooting should be conducted if any abnormal situation is
discovered.
2
nd
level maintenance: Conducted periodically and overall inspection should be conducted according
to the following requirements:
a. Mechanical maintenance: Should be conducted every half a year. The main content is to examine
whether any fastener is loose, whether each wheel rotates flexibly and whether the fork rises and
declines normally. The operation noise after maintenance should not be greater than 75 dB.
b. Maintenance of the hydraulic system: Should be conducted once every 12 months. Examine
whether the oil cylinders are in normal state, whether there is any internal or external leakage and
whether the hydraulic oil is clean. Hydraulic oil should be replaced every 12 months. ISO oil standard
is applied for hydraulic oil. When the ambient temperature is -5 ~ 40 ºC adopt L-HV32; when the
ambient temperature is -10 ~ -5 ºC adopt L-HV15 low temperature hydraulic oil. The replaced waste
oil shall be disposed according to local laws and regulations. Check whether the limit valve works
normally.
c. Electric equipment maintenance: Should be conducted every three months to examine whether
the connectors of electric equipment are reliable, whether the switches are normal and whether the
insulation of the electric equipment is in normal condition (the insulation resistance of electric
equipment and the truck body should be greater than 0,5 MΩ).
All servicing and repair work shall be performed by a qualified person. It’s not allowed to make any
kind of structural modifications to the device. Inspections and repairs should be recorded.
