CAUTION:
It is important not to overweight the diving
rig with too much fixed weight; this configuration may
not allow sufficient removable weight, preventing the
diver from “ditching” the weight and swimming to the
surface during an emergency.
CAUTION:
You should be certain through in-water test-
ing prior to a dive that, without any air in your buoyancy
compensator, you are capable of swimming against
the weight of you configuration with full tanks and all
weight in place. You need verify that you are able to man-
age your scuba configuration in the event of a buoyancy
failure.

Halcyon’s Pioneer single cylinder wings come in 27 lb (12 kg),
36 lb (16 kg), and 45 lb (20 kg) lift sizes. With the appropriate
balanced rig, the Pioneer 27 and 36 wings, along with the
Eclipse 30 lb (13.6 kg) wing, are designed for light to medium
weight aluminum and steel single cylinders; the Pioneer
45 and Eclipse 40 (18 kg lift) are appropriate for all single
cylinders.
Halcyon’s Explorer double cylinder wings are available in 40 lb
(20.4 kg) and 55 lb (25 kg) lift sizes. The Explorer 40 wings are
primarily designed for use with double aluminum 80 (10 liter)
cylinders. The Explorer 55 wings are suitable for use with a
wide range of aluminum and steel double cylinders, including
12/15 liter and 95/104 cubic foot steel cylinders. Explorer
wings should not be used in any single cylinder configuration.
