5. Once the axle stands are properly located, VERY SLOWLY turn the release valve anti-
clockwise until the vehicle begins to lower onto the stands. Lower the vehicle slowly so as not
to shock load the jack stands.
6. BEFORE GOING UNDER THE VEHICLE ensure that all axle stands and chocks are correctly
in place and there is no chance of the vehicle becoming unstable.
TO LOWER THE VEHICLE:
Once repairs are completed raise the vehicle slightly, remove the axle stands and using the
handle as a wrench, VERY SLOWLY turn the release valve anti-clockwise until the vehicle begins
to lower.
CAUTION:
Ensure all body parts are kept clear of the jack and vehicle during the raising and
lowering operation.
MAINTENANCE, CARE AND LUBRICATION
1. When the jack is not in use, the piston and screw extension should be in the fully down position
to minimise the chance of corrosion.
2. Keep the jack clean and well lubricated. Lubricate moving parts regularly using a good quality
general purpose lubricating oil.
3.
To check oil level:
Place the jack upright on level ground. Lower the jack to the lowest
Use hydraulic oil ISO VG.22.32 obtainable from Halfords. DO NOT USE BRAKE FLUID.
4.
not use the jack if you suspect a fault. Refer to the trouble shooting section of this manual.
5. Due to the safety critical nature of the product, the jack is tested and sealed at the time of
manufacture. The hydraulic unit contains no serviceable parts and entry into the hydraulic unit
may render the jack unsafe. For your own safety do not tamper with the hydraulic unit.
