ACK
By pressing 1-ACK with the cursor on the active event, this will get acknowl-
edged. There are two situations:
-
The user is already logged in. In this case by pressing 1-ACK the scre-
en image will simply refresh and an “X” mark will appear on the “A”
column (the “Acknowledged” column). The control panel buzzer will
stop ringing.
-
The user is not yet logged in. In this case the LOGIN dialogue window
pops up and the user should insert in the password. After which the “X”
mark will be shown under the “A” column of the related active event.
The control panel buzzer will stop ringing. Practically this is the only
situation when the login of an “Operator” level user is required in order
to keep track of the person who acknowledged the active event.
RESET
By pressing 2-RESET with the cursor on the active event previously acknowl-
edged (the one marked with “X”), this will get reset and the event will disappear
from the active events list. As described above, there are two situations:
-
The user is already logged in for a previous operation that requires
login. In this case pressing 2-RESET the screen image will simply
refresh and delete the event line from the list
-
The user has not logged in or has logged in but with Operator level
that does not allow the Reset operation. In this case the LOGIN dia-
logue window pops up and the user should insert in the password (at
least on “Maintenance” level). After pressing 2-RESET, the screen will
be refreshed and the event deleted from the avtive event list.
Please note
If the event to be reset still exists (for example a gas detector still in alarm) after
the Reset procedure, the event in progress will still appear making it necessary
to acknowledge (ACK) another time.
CHANNEL
Pressing 3-CHANNEL it is possible to do operations regarding the channels. See
par. “3.20 Detectors” for details.
Pressing 4-PRINT, if a Printer is connected to the system, the event details will be
printed out.
