The following picture formats (picture aspect ratios) are available
here:
Pan Scan 4:3
Display of a wide picture on the whole screen
while the superfluous areas are cut off. Select this
option if you have connected a TV set with the
standard screen (4:3) .
Letter Box 4:3
Display of a wide picture with two black bands
at the top and bottom of the screen . Select this
option if you have connected a TV set with the
standard screen (4:3) .
16:9
The picture is compressed and displayed as a
full-screen picture . Select this setting if you have
connected the appliance to a wide-screen TV set .
If you select this option for a normal TV set, the
picture will be distorted due to the vertical com-
pression .
Select the desired picture format using the
▼▲ navigation but
-
tons .
Press the
Enter button to confirm the selection and activate
the setting .
Setting the brightness
Select the sub-menu "Video" and the menu item "Brightness" as
described in chapter
"Opening setup menu and navigation"
.
The selected menu item appears on the screen .
Set the brightness using the
▼▲ navigation buttons
.
The new settings are displayed on the screen .
Press the
Enter button to confirm the selection and activate
the setting .
