NAS function
Your appliance can be used as an NAS (Network Attached Storage)
device . You can connect the appliance to your home network via the
LAN or WLAN . In this way it is possible to very cheaply save large
volumes of data on a home computer . In addition you can access the
stored data quickly and comfortably .
When you have correctly connected the appliance to a LAN or WLAN
and the network is ready for use, enter the prompt \\NAS or \\IP ad-
dress in the "Run" window that you can open in the Windows start
menu . Alternatively you can enter the prompt \\NAS or \\IP address in
the address field of Internet Explorer on your computer. For example,
if the IP address of your appliance is 192 .168 .0 .9, enter the prompt
\\192 .168 .0 .9 or \\NAS and click the "OK" button or press the Enter
key .
Under Windows Vista and Windows 7, please enter: \\192 .168 .0 .9 in
the search field and then press the Enter key on the keyboard.
