Assembly
The Buggy 10 is standard delivered without a mounting frame and can be used on a fixed table or
similar object (frame Buggy 10: art. no. 000842). The press should be bolted to the surface it is placed
on. The press should be connected to an oil free air conduit. The Buggy 10 has a self service pressure
cylinder, which makes greasing obsolete.
The Buggy 10 is equipped with:
•
Pressure regulator
•
Manometer
•
Water separator
First use
The air conduit should not provide a higher pressure than 10 bar. The recommended air pressure for
the Buggy 10 is 6 bar. When the pressure is set differently, then you need to reset it to 6 bar.
•
After opening the door of the press you can place empty tins, after being cleaned, in the
press. It is possible to press multiple small tins at once. Make sure that the tins are
symmetrically placed in this case. This prevents uneven wear of the cylinder and mechanical
parts.
•
Close the door of the Buggy 10 (84126). Push the pressure switch (084120). After pressing
the tins the pressing plate remains in its upper position.
•
When the door is opened, the plate is on the upper position and leaves room for you to
remove the pressed tins.
When the compressed airline is removed, the press plate will go back in the lower position. In this
position the door cannot be opened. As soon as the compressed airline is reconnected you can open
the door. This safety circuit is prescribed in the European Machine Directives for Pneumatic Presses.
The Safety System of the Press makes it impossible to open the door during pressing. Don’t try to
force it. You have to wait until the complete pressing is finished.
Attention! Only completely empty tins can be pressed.
Cleaning
Paint remnants in the Buggy 10 should be removed immediately. This can negatively effect the
functioning of the tin press.
Attention! When cleaning the Buggy 10, the pressure on the press should be connected.
