Troubleshooting
I programmed the heat setting mode and set the cooking time. How do I
know the cooking process has started?
• Wait one minute and you will see the timer change from a full hour to X:59.
I pressed “Time DOWN” enough that the display shows END. What do I do?
• Press MODE to select the desired heat setting and then press “Time UP” to
select desired cooking time.
I pressed the OFF button by mistake. What do I do now?
• Press the MODE button for desired heat setting and, if desired, enter a
cooking time.
I want to cancel the cooking cycle because the food is done.
• Press the OFF button if food is ready to serve.
OR
• Press “Time DOWN” button until END appears on the display. Food will be
maintained on Keep Warm.
What is the maximum time for cooking? For Keep Warm?
• 12 hours is the maximum amount of time that can be programmed for this
slow cooker.
EXAMPLES:
– 8 hours of programmed cooking time provides 4 hours of Keep Warm
– 12 hours of programmed cooking time provides NO Keep Warm time; the
slow cooker will automatically shut off at the end of the 12 hour cook cycle
– 12 hours of Keep Warm for food that has already been thoroughly cooked
I set the cooking time and now I want to change it. Can I?
• Yes. Press “Time UP” or “Time DOWN” button to select a new cooking time.
My display shows END. What does this mean?
• The programmed cooking time has expired and the slow cooker is now in the
Keep Warm mode.
I can’t set a cooking time of 7:30. Why not?
• You can only change the time in 1 hour increments. You must select 7:00
or 8:00.
My slow cooker boils. Is it suppose to boil?
• Yes. Your slow cooker has been specially designed to cook raw foods
thoroughly (such as potatoes and carrots) as well as reach an internal food
temperature for desired doneness.
