How to Make Coffee
1.
To ensure best possible taste, wash
the carafe then clean the inside of
unit. See “Cleaning Instructions.”
2.
Press
H
to set current hour with
AM or PM. Press
M
to set current
minutes.
3.
Place assembled OPTIONAL water
filter in water
reservoir (see
“Optional
Accessories”).
4.
Fill carafe with the desired amount of
cold tap water. Flip open reservoir
cover and pour water into reservoir.
Flip reservoir cover down to close.
5.
Return the carafe to the Keep-Hot
Plate. Make sure that the carafe is
firmly in place so that the Auto
Pause ’n Serve button is engaged.
6.
Lift filter cover and place a dispos-
able No. 4 cone-shaped paper filter
in filter basket. Close filter cover.
7.
For each cup of coffee being
made, place one level scoop or
tablespoon of medium-ground
automatic drip coffee into filter.
Lower filter cover to close.
8.
Press
ON/OFF
button once for cof-
fee now and the light will glow red.
To brew later, see “To Program
Automatic Brew.”
NOTE:
To serve coffee during the
brewing cycle, remove carafe and pour
a cup.
The carafe must be returned
to keep-hot plate and the Auto
Pause ’n Serve button must be
engaged within 20 seconds or
overflow may occur.
9.
The unit will shut off automatically
after two hours. When finished,
unplug from outlet.
WARNING! Burn Hazard. If the
coffeemaker overflows, allow unit,
coffee and grounds to cook before
cleaning unit, coffee or grounds.
To Program Automatic Brew
1.
Make sure clock is set for correct
time of day.
2.
Press and hold
PROG
button until
digits begin to
flash.
3.
Continue holding
PROG
button,
press
H
and then
M
buttons until
desired brewing time is reached.
4.
Release the
PROG
button. Digits will
stop flashing and return to set time
of day.
5.
Press
PROG
button momentarily to
activate automatic brewing. A green
light will glow indicating that the cof-
feemaker is set to make coffee at the
desired time.
6.
Follow steps 3-9 in “How to Make
Coffee.”
