TROUBLESHOOTING
If T5 Fluorescent bulb(s) does not come on:
If all lamps do not light with 10 seconds turn off the system. Re-examine all connections between the bulbs and the end caps.
Examine lamp for possible damages to the pins.
Exchange lamp with a known working lamp.
All lamps must be installed for system to operate properly.
Switch lamps from socket to socket.
Check your electrical source. Make sure the ballast is plugged into power properly.
If both of the Fluorescent bulbs are not working after you re-examine everything it is likely to be a ballast problem. Contact manufacture.
If T5 Fluorescent bulb(s) come ON and OFF:
Unplug the system and check for a bad contact between the lamps and the socket.
My circuit breaker or power strip trips every time I turn on the ballast
:
The circuit might be overloaded. A standard house circuit is 15 amps: calculate the amount of amperage going into the circuit.
Metal Halide ballast takes up to 6 amps each and T5 or Power Compact ballasts take up to 1.82 amps.
Verify that you do not have too many items going into the same circuit.
