Switches
Ignition Switch
The ignition switch is a three-position, key-operated switch. The key
can be removed from the switch when it is in the OFF position.
CAUTION!
• Do not operate the electric starter continuously for more than 5 sec-
onds, or damage may occur.
• Wait at least 5 seconds between each operation of the electric starter,
allowing it to cool.
• Do not commence the electric starter while the engine is running, or
damage may occur.
Light Switch
The ignition switch key must
be in the ON position to
operate the headlights. Press
the top of the rocker switch for
high beams. Press the bottom
of the rocker switch for low
beams.
OFF
All electrical circuits are switched off. The key can be
removed in this position.
ON
All electrical circuits are supplied with power, and the
headlights and taillights are operable.
IGNITION
The electrical starter is engaged by turing and holding the key
in this position. Release the key when the engine starts.
