PERCUSSION Edit Menu (PERCUSS)
This Edit Menu allows you to make changes to the Percussion tones.
❶
LEVEL - SOFT
❷
LEVEL - NORMAL
This allows you to control the Percussion volume levels. The Normal level is set by the NORM setting, and SOFT is the level when the
[SOFT] Touch Tab is “ON.”
❸
DECAY - SLOW
❹
DECAY - FAST
This allows you to control the Percussion decay time. The Slow rate is set by SLOW setting, and FAST is the time when the [FAST] Touch
Tab is ON.
The setting range is 1 to 9 and C. As the value is raised, the decay time grows longer. At C (continuous) there is no decay, and the Percus-
sion sound is sustained while keys are pressed.
❺
KEYBOARD - TOUCH
This allows you to set the touch response of the Percussion.
OFF:
Percussion will sound only if you play the keys in a detached manner (non-legato). Any degree of detachment is sufficient.
ON:
Each key will sound when played regardless of whether other keys are being held.
❻
KEYBOARD - VELOCITY
This allows you to turn Percussion Velocity Sensitivity “ON” or “OFF.”
ON:
The volume of Percussion is controlled by how fast keys are played. The faster keys are played, the louder the Percussion sounds.
OFF:
Each key will sound at the same volume level when played regardless of the speed or force with which the keys are struck..
❼
KEYBOARD - KEY TRACK
On a tone-wheel Hammond Organ with Touch-Response Percussion Control, the Percussion sounds would taper off slightly at higher
frequencies. This feature replicates this characteristic of the Percussion.
ON:
The higher the note is, the lesser the volume.
OFF:
No change in volume.
❽
DRAWBAR - 1
´
CANCEL
This allows you to cancel the Upper 1´ Drawbar while using Percussion.
ON:
The 1’ Drawbar will be canceled when Percussion is “ON.” This replicates the original Hammond Organs with Touch-Response Percussion Control.
OFF:
The 1’ Drawbar will continue to sound while Percussion is “ON.” This replicates later Hammond Organs with Percussion.
❾
DRAWBAR - SOFT
This allows you to reduce the Upper Drawbar volume while using the Percussion if the [SOFT] tab is “OFF” (LED not lit).
ON:
The volume level of the Drawbars will be reduced by 3 decibels, or a small amount, when Percussion is “ON” at Normal volume. This replicates the
original Hammond Organs with Touch-Response Percussion Control.
OFF:
The volume of the Drawbars will stay at the same level, or “0db,” when Percussion is “ON” at Normal volume. This replicates later Hammond Organs
with Percussion.
NOTE: All the parameters described on these pages are Patch Parameters and can be stored to individual Patches. For a complete
listing of all Patch Parameters, please consult the APPENDIX at the back of this Guide.
