Theory of Operation
EZMaster Block Diagram
The Block Diagram shows the main features of EZMaster: an 8 bit CPU Processor managing the data flow from 6 serial ports, and
several external devices. Data received from the USB, COM and LPT Port or the external keypad, are processed and executed in parallel
tasks, driving the requested function, as DVK Processor, Winkey, Radio Interface, PTT/PTTDelayed line, CW interface, FSK interface,
A/B line and the Antenna Matrix Data Processor.
EZMaster basic operations are defined within each operation mode: standard, extended and advanced.
In the
Standard mode
, a full compatibility with the old fashioned communication methods is maintained. Data coming from PARALLEL
PORT, USB or RS232 port are managed to take advantage of EZMaster interface capabilities, as 4 DVK message play, CW, PTT, A/B,
Antenna Matrix Data interface and Radio Interface routing.
The
Extended mode
of operation shares the same input ports, while the user can configure the DVK message to play, the delay
between both Radio PTT, and the
Antenna Matrix Profile
to associate with the Antenna Matrix Data input.
The
Advanced Mode
takes advantage of the CPU command mode interface, that allows, through the use of the USB port, to take full
control over EZMaster, thus avoiding the need for any extra add-on ports/boards, while allowing a full and complete access to the
EZMaster functionalities at their deepest level.
