Advanced Mode
The Advanced Mode is the most sophisticated way to gain full advantage of all the EZMaster features.
This mode overcomes all the possible limitations in the way Software can communicate with the external devices. The USB / Serial
connection becomes the only way to exchange data between EZMaster and a Personal or Laptop computer. The USB and the command
mode interface allow the software developer to use all the neat features of EZMaster without any hassle, forgetting all the port
configuration mess you usually encounter when more that two devices need to be connected to the PC.
The Advanced Mode allows the user to have a full control of the device, where all commands are executed in real-time, and where the
commands are simple line commands with some parameters (when needed). See the
Command Reference
section.
The unique command mode interface allows, via a simple command protocol, control of any of the EZMaster’s outputs and the built-in
CW Keyer as well, while the macro commands allow the programmer to easily develop the software, thus reducing the time to market
when a new device needs to be supported, at the cost of only a few hours of work.
The command mode interface has a simple syntax and each command is immediately executed, apart from the Winkey commands that
are simply routed to the internal Winkey device interface and there directly managed within the Winkey’s rules.
Such commands can have parameters and can even wait for answers, whilst most of the command don’t require any answer and are
immediately executed.
Moreover the Advanced Mode can be used in combination with the Parallel (LPT) port control. This unique feature allows a total control
over the EZMaster itself, giving the user the maximum flexibility like having the CW keying through the parallel port and the other
functions through EZMaster command set protocol.
In the Advanced Mode all the configurations for the Standard and the Extended mode applies.
