ASSEMBLY
NOTE:
Must not be used for lifting!
The winch bracket must sufficiently strong and dimensioned to match the winch frame base. Put a flat
washer on three 3/8” tempered screws (grade 5 or better). Insert the screws with one washer on each in
the openings on the base (those nearest to outside of frame). Place a locking washer on each screw.
Tighten the nuts on the screws until they are flush with the frame. Fit a strap, rope or steel wire on the
drum so that the pawl works (clicks) when the line is wound up on the drum. Note that steel wires must
only be used on winches specially intended for this.
STRAP:
The winches have holes in the drum for a strap bolt when a strap is used, see fig. 1. A tempered
bolt, grade 5 or better, is recommended for fastening the strap. Tighten the bolt only to the point where
there is no play in the bolt. The drum can become deformed if the nut is overtightened. On winches fitted
