with a strap attachment, insert the strap eye under the transverse bolt, insert the strap attachment in the
strap eye, and tighten.
ROPE:
No screws, nuts or attachments are needed to fit a rope on the drum. Two methods of fitting the
rope through the side of the drum are shown in fig. 2. Make sure that there are always at least three full
turns of rope left on the drum.
STEEL WIRE:
Insert the steel wire (from inside and out) in the hole on the side of the drum. Wind up one
turn of the steel wire on the drum. Continue inserting the wire 2.5 cm past the fastening. Fit lock washers
and nuts on the outside of the drum, see fig. 3. Make sure that there are always at least three full turns of
wire left on the drum.
MAINTENANCE
Make sure that there is always a thin layer of grease on the gear wheels. The same applies to the
sides of the drum and the retaining screws. This will help to prolong the service-life of the winch.
Keep the lock mechanism clean and free from dirt, oil, and ice etc., to ensure correct functionality.
Only use spare parts from Jula for repairs, or parts of an equivalent quality.
