SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING
• Avoid using the product in wet or damp conditions
• Should not be used in environments where easily inflammable substances are present
• Risk of explosive gases Ensure no ignition sources are present near the cars
• Always store the jumper cables in the bag when they are not in use
• Maximum starting current is 160 A
• The product should only be used with a direct current of +5 to +15 V

CONNECTING THE CABLES
WARNING
• Check that both cars have the same polarity, ie both cars have either a positive or a negative
earth All cars manufactured after 1980 have a negative earth
• Check that both batteries have the same rated voltage
• Switch off all electrical equipment in both cars, including the ignition Put the gearbox into
neutral, or P for automatic gearboxes Pull the handbrake up Check the cars are not touching
each other
• The battery clamps should not come into contact with each other or the vehicle’s bodywork
• Ensure you do not have any jewellery, watches etc on you when you connect the jumper cables
• Check that no body parts or clothes can come into contact with moving or heated parts in the
engine compartment
• Ensure the cars are not touching each other
• Wear safety goggles
• Smoking is forbidden when standing near the battery

Connect the red cable to the charged battery’s positive pole (+)

Connect the red cable to the discharged battery’s positive pole (+)

Connect the black cable to the charged battery’s negative pole (-)

Connect the black cable to the discharged battery’s negative pole (-)

If the connection is correct on both sides, both lamps will light up green and the current
will be released
