Port Setting Menus
To see or manage the wireless cards or Ethernet NICs controlled by the Client, go to
Start
>
Programs
>
Meetinghouse
AEGIS
Client
. The Main menu contains a list of wireless and NIC adapters (ports). Tapping a port brings up a menu that allows the port
to be enabled or disabled, configured, or deleted.
Two menus are available from this screen: the Port menu and the Client menu.
Port Menu
To open the Port menu, tap and hold on a port on the main screen.
These commands allow the port to use 802.1X authentication, change the port configuration, and remove it from the port list. The
Port menu commands are:
Enable and Disable
These commands enable or disable 802.1X authentication on the port. The port itself is not turned off
or on; to do that, use the Windows Network Connections control panel.
Configure
Opens the port configuration screen.
Delete
Removes an adapter from the port list. When the 802.1X protocol binds to an adapter, it is added to
the port list. This usually happens when the adapter is in the device and the Client software is
installed, or Install Protocol is selected from the Client menu.
