Needle Position
(Left-to-Right)
1.
Turn the machine on and select straight-
stitch, center needle position.
2.
Using a 1.5mm hex tool loosen the set
screw
from the left
between the needle
threader lever and
the black, needle threader
guide plate
.
Turn the large, flat-head eccentric
screw to align the needle within the center of
the needle plate hole. Tighten the
set
screw.
3.
Turn the machine off and then back on
again. Select straight-stitch, center needle
position and recheck the alignment. Double
check with full stitch width (9mm) to see that
the needle is equidistant form the left and right
side of the needle plate slot on full zigzag.

Important note: When needle position
is changed left to right it will also
change the hook timing to the needle.
When center needle position is
changed it also changes needle positon
of the zig zag.
A good second check of
center needle position (before
and after
changing it) is that the needle is
equidistant from the zigzag slot in the
needle plate at both the left and right
positions when the machine is set for
the widest zigzag (9mm).
Note: needle positon will not change
when the needle is down in the needle
plate. The needle must be up. Also
when the machine starts on zigzag it will
do 5 lock straight stitch stitches on one
side before it starts to zigzag.
