Fitting RF repeaters
If the lift will not drive to (or cannot be called
from) the furthest end of the track when using the
RF remotes then a RF repeater(s) can be fitted
which will extend the range of the remotes and
enable it to do so.
1
Whilst standing by the lift use the remote
handset to drive the lift toward the other end
of the track i.e. from the bottom to the top of
the track.
2
When the red light shows on the handset
stop the lift.
3
A RF repeater should be fitted approximately
1m back down the track from where the lift
has stopped. The repeater does not require
line of sight so can be placed discreetly, for
example behind the track.
4
After turning off the power to the system,
wire the RF repeater into the 33V lift charging
supply from the bottom rail.
5
Should the stairlift still not reach the end of
the track once the RF repeater has been
fitted, repeat the above process to fit further
RF repeaters. Each additional RF repeater
should have different dipswitch settings from
the last. Start by standing next to the lift at
the point at which you have fitted the last
repeater.
