Removing the back wheels
•
See fig. 020713020.
The back wheels have been mounted, complete with bearing
system, using a quick-release system in the axle housing of the
frame.
The back wheels should be removed as follows:
•
Press button (A) in the center of the wheel hub (C) and
keep it depressed.
•
Remove the whole back wheel (A) by taking it outward.
The back wheel should be mounted as follows:
•
Press button (A) in the center of the wheel hub (C) and
keep it depressed.
•
Slide pin (D) of the back wheel (B) into the axle housing
(E) of the frame, as far as it goes.
•
Release the button (A).
The back wheel is now secured automatically.
Always check the proper locking of the back
wheels. Try to pull the wheel out of the frame in axial direction. If the wheel comes out, it is not
properly secured. In that case, you should repeat the above actions.

Swivel castors
For the proper functioning of the wheelchair it is very important that the tires are kept in order.
Solid tires that are worn yield less than optimal driving for the wheelchair. It also costs more energy to move the
wheelchair forward. Moreover, unnecessary wear will occur to the rims.

Replacing the swivel castor
•
See fig. 020703030.
Replace the swivel castor as follows:
•
Remove the front wheel from the fork; see 'replacing the
front wheel'.
•
Remove the plastic cover cap (A) with a screwdriver.
•
Loosen the nut (B) using a ring spanner with a key width of
19 mm and stop the bolt (C) using a box spanner with a
key width of 19 mm.
•
Now the complete swivel castor (D) can be removed from
the frame.
Take care not to lose the washers (E).
•
Now the (new) swivel castor can be placed in the reverse
order.
Attention:
The locknut may not be used again – use a
new one when replacing.
