Replacing the cable of the gas spring for backrest
adjustment (option)
•
See fig. 020715020.
The cable of the gas spring for mechanical tilt adjustment
should be replaced as follows:
•
Remove the seat.
•
Completely depress the handgrip (A) until the seat is in its
original position.
Now the gas spring is completely released.
•
Turn the adjustment nipple (B) of the handgrip just so far
that the cable is no longer taut.
•
Depress the handgrip somewhat, in order to release the
end (C) of the inner cable and push it from the handgrip.
•
Remove the adjustment nipple (B) from the handgrip by
turning it.
•
Take the other end (D) of the inner cable from the lever (E)
and also take the nipple (F) of the outer cable from the
operating block (G).
•
Cut through the cable-wrapping tape and remove the
cable.
A new cable can be placed in reverse order.
•
Tie the new cable to the frame using a new cable-wrapping tape.

Adjusting the cable for gas-spring adjustment
•

The cable of the gas-spring operation should be replaced as
follows:
•
Loosen the knurled nut (A) of the adjustment nipple (B).
•
Screw the adjustment nipple in or out, depending on the
need.
•
Tighten the nut (A) again when the setting is correct.
