3.2 Transportation
The forklift truck can be used for loading and unloading and short distance transport, but should not be
used for long distance transport. If the forklift truck is transported over a long distance, it should be
carried with a ship, train or vehicle with load capacity of more than 5 tons such as a truck and trailer.
Operating steps:
–
Park the forklift truck securely onto a truck or trailer and tighten the parking brake.
–
Fasten the tension belt to the cross-beam and counterweight tow pin, and tighten the
tension belt with a tightening device.
–
Secure the front and rear wheels with suitable wedge blocks
Warning
When the forklift truck is being fastened, effective measures must be taken for the specific
situation to ensure transportation safety.
The forklift truck must be correctly secured when it is transported with a truck or trailer.
Use wedges to secure the truck to prevent accidental movement.
Only tension or fastening belts with adequate nominal strength can be used to fasten the
forklift truck.
