X. Lifting, handling and towing of the forklift truck
Lift the forklift truck
•Tie the steel rope on the lifting hole and counterweight lifting hook at both ends of the outer mast
beam firmly and lift the forklift truck with the lifting device.
Warning
•Do not enwind the steel rope with the overhead guard when lifting the forklift truck.
•
The steel rope and the lifting device must be strong enough to safely support the forklift truck
because the truck is extremely heavy.
•
Do not lift the forklift truck with the cab frame (overhead guard).
•Do not stand under the forklift truck when lifting it.
Handling
The forklift truck can be used for loading and unloading and short distance transport but should not
be used for long distance transport. If the forklift truck is transported over a long distance, it should be
handled with a ship, train or vehicle with load capacity of more than 5t. Chock the wheels with
wedges firmly and tie the body down firmly at the same time to protect the truck from sliding during
transport.
Towing
The drag pin under the counterweight can only be used for pulling the forklift truck; the drag pin
should be pulled out first at the time of towing; then, the steel rope should be installed, and the drag
pin should be reinstalled.
Note:
Release the hand brake lever.
How to tow after truck damage:
Release the hand brake lever. Pull the shift lever into the neutral position. Pay attention to traffic
safety and hang the towing sign.
Caution
• Do not tow trucks with defective steering systems or damaged
brake systems.
• Obey traffic rules when towing a truck on the highway.
