Explanation
Profiles
- The Home, Away and Holiday preset user profiles can be adjusted to suit the user.
Self-learning phase
- During the self-learning phase, the Pontos Base stores the user's usage habits and adapts the Home profile after a pre-defined period
of time. There is no leakage protection during the self-learning phase!
Leakage
Water volume
- Maximum water volume that can be withdrawn in one go.
Example: The tap with the largest withdrawal volume is a bath tub. The capacity of the bath tub is approx. 120 litres. Set the value in
the Home profile to 200 litres.

- The settings must always be adjusted to the largest consumer.
- If multiple consumers are used at the same time, their flows must be added together.
Micro-leakage detected
- The micro-leakage test can detect small leak volumes that fall below the turbine’s start-up limit. The water supply is briefly interrupted
here and the volume of the water still flowing is measured.
- If water escapes during the test, the device will detect the pressure drop and the stop valve is opened.
Pontos Scout reports

- If a connected Pontos Scout reports a leakage, the Pontos Base shuts off the water pipe. (The Pontos Scout is an optional accessory
and does not come with the Pontos Base)
