Setting up the refrigerator

CAUTION
Risk of injury while transporting!
The refrigerator is very heavy and can injure you, if
e.g. it falls on you feet.
• During transport, when setting up, positioning and
changing the door hinges, get help from another per-
son.
• Sharp metal edges on the refrigerator at the back
and beneath it harbour the potential to cause inju-
ry. During setup or when repositioning, protective
gloves are to be worn.
NOTICE
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the refrigerator may result in
damage.
• If possible, do not tilt the refrigerator into a horizontal
position.
• When transporting and setting up the refrigerator, do
not hold it by the metal strip or the cupboard mounts.
Mains connection
The type of power (alternating current) and the voltage at the setup
point must be as specified in section “Technical specifications” on
page 29.
Connect the refrigerator only to a properly earthed socket with
earthing contact. The socket must be protected by a fuse rated
10 A or higher and must be positioned away from the appliance’s
rear side. It should be positioned in such a way that it is possible
to pull out the mains plug.
Changing the door hinges
You can change the side which the door opens on. If you would like
to switch the door hinges, perform the following steps
before
you
insert the refrigerator into your kitchen’s built-in cabinet!
As changing the door hinges requires some manual skills, please
read through the steps of the procedure beforehand.
To change the door hinges, you will need the following tools (not
included in package contents):
– Cross-head screwdriver
– Medium-sized screwdriver
