Finding and fixing faults
Use this table to check if you can correct the fault yourself.

The compressor is
not working.
The socket has no power.
Check the socket by connecting an-
other appliance.
The mains plug has not been in-
serted properly.
Ensure the mains plug is securely
plugged in.
The desired temperature has
been reached.
Further cooling not required. When
the inside temperature rises, the com-
pressor automatically switches on.

The refrigerator is
cooling too much.
The temperature is set to a cool-
ing power that is too high.
Set the temperature controller

source.
Place an insulation plate between the
refrigerator and the heat source or
switch locations.
The foods inside are warm and
have not been cooled.
Only put cooled food in the refriger-
ator.
The ambient temperature is too
low or too high.
Adjust the ambient temperature to the
climate category (see “Intended use”
on page 4).

The refrigerator is
noisy.
Cooling unit is running (hum-
ming).
Operating noises are functional and
are not a sign of malfunction.
Refrigerant is flowing through
the pipes (flow noise).
Motor is switching on or off
(clicking).
Other, non-operational noises.
Check the firm position.
Remove any objects on top of the
fridge.
Remove any foreign bodies from the
rear and leave sufficient clearance to
the wall.
