You can also use the oven clock as a timer to
switch the oven on and off.
WARNING
Fire hazard!
There is an increased risk of fi re with
the timer.
Please ensure that you always observe
the following when using the timer:

Before starting the timer, please
make sure to inform all members of
the household so that they do not
put anything in the oven.
■
Monitor the oven while using the tim-
er in order to prevent dishes spilling
over and/or burning.
■
Please note that fats, oils and alcohol
can catch on fi re when heated.
■
Never leave the oven unattended
when grilling in timer mode!
Observe the following points when
using the timer:
– You can pre-programme up to 23 hours
and 59 minutes in advance. The cooking
time can be set between 1 minute and 9
hours.
– The timer does not work with the defrost
function.
– A power failure will delete all settings.
Example of timer operation
• Your food should be ready at 18:30.
• It should be cooked at 180 °C with top
and bottom heat.
• The cooking time should be 40 minutes.
Proceed as follows:
1. Switch off the oven if you have not al-
ready done so.
2. Place your food in the oven and close the
cooking chamber door.

3. Enter the time when your food should be
ready:
4. To do this, press the button (18) and set
the hour(s) using the rotary switch (14) (in
this example: 18).
5. Press the button (18) again and set the
minute(s) using the rotary switch (14) (in
this example: 30).
6. Set the desired heating method using the
function switch (22) (in this example: Top
and bottom heat). The time program sym-
bol (20) illuminates.
7. Press the button (16) and then set the
desired temperature using the rotary
switch (14) (in this example: 180 °C).
The timer
