NOTICE
Risk of damage!
If your freezer has been transported horizontal for an
extended period, lubricant from the compressor may
have got into the refrigeration circuit.
• In such case leave the freezer standing in its normal
position for approx. 12 hours before you switch it on.
This allows the lubricant enough time to flow back
into the compressor.
1. Clean the freezer before switching-on for the first time. (See
chapter „Care and maintenance“, page 18.)
2. Connect the mains plug to a properly installed socket (220 V
to 240 V, 50 Hz, 10 A).
3. Open the door.
4. Turn the temperature controller
1
to ‘MAX’. The compressor
starts to work after a short time, the refrigerant flows through
the pipes and a quiet humming can be heard.
5. If the freezer makes strange noises, please check whether it is
firmly placed. If necessary, remove any items from the freezer.
6. You can put frozen food in the freezer as soon as it reaches
approx. -18°C on the inside. Check the temperature with a
fridge/freezer thermometer.
