NOTICE
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the freezer may result in dam-
age.
• Do not use corrosive, abrasive, soda or acidic de-
tergents or sponges to clean the freezer. They could
damage the surfaces. All-purpose cleaners with a
neutral pH are recommended.
• Never spray the freezer with a water jet (e.g. pres-
sure washer).
• Make sure that no cleaning water gets into the elec-
trical parts.
Cleaning the appliance surfaces
1. Clean the outer walls and door with a damp cloth and a small
amount of soap.
2. Wipe dry.
3. Regularly remove dust deposits from the capacitor on the back
of the freezer to minimise energy consumption.
Defrosting and cleaning the freezer
Moisture from food and ambient air forms frost on the inside of the
appliance.
At least once a year, remove ice and frost from the inner walls, at
the latest when the layer of frost is approx. 4 mm thick. Otherwise,
the ice forms a layer of insulation, which impedes the cooling out-
put and increases electricity consumption.
Tip
:
Defrost the freezer in the winter when outdoor temperatures are
low and similar to the temperature inside the freezer. You can
then store the food on a balcony or similar while you are cleaning
the freezer.
Otherwise, you can temporarily store the food in a cool cellar. You
also have the option of using an insulated bag.
