Overview of all functions
Symbol Description of function
*)
Top/bottom heat.
In top/bottom heat mode, your oven operates with a high
temperature if needed – depending on the shelf height, the heat is stronger from
the bottom or the top. It is particularly suitable for gratinéed dishes, bakes and
pizza.
Baking and roasting is, however, only possible on one shelf level. You will achieve
the best results by roasting the food on one of the middle shelf levels.
Bottom heat.
On the bottom of the cooking compartment there is a heating
element that supplies additional heat from below. This cooking function is
particularly suitable for dishes that require a long cooking time, or for ones that are
supposed to have a crispy bottom, e.g. pizza.
Convection with top and bottom heat.
The heat is produced by top/bottom heat
and is distributed evenly by the fan. This saves energy. Food items are gently
browned on the outside, but remain juicy inside.
Convection is ideal for short-roasted dishes such as chicken pieces, chops or fish
and to grill sandwiches or similar with more than 6 portions.
Hot air.
Additional heat is produced by a ring heater around the fan. This also
improves the air circulation in the cooking compartment and distributes heat more
evenly.
For simple grilling, only the inner grill elements are in operation. You will achieve the
best results by using the upper shelf levels for smaller items and the lower levels for
larger ones.
Intensive grilling means that both grill elements as well as the upper heating
element of the oven are in operation.
**)
ECO For energy-efficient baking.
When ECO mode is activated, the heating element is electronically controlled to
make better use of residual heat and therefore reduce energy consumption. Using
ECO mode will slightly extend the cooking time.
ECO mode is especially suited for cooking meat: cooking using this mode will result
in juicier meat.
Grilling with the fan does not have such an intense effect as surface grilling.
However, you can grill larger pieces of meat and fish. The food being grilled does
not need to be turned.
Defrosting.
When defrosting, only room-temperature air is distributed by the fan.
This accelerates the defrosting process and is a gentle way of defrosting already-
prepared dishes. No heat is applied during defrosting.
Cooking compartment light.
This setting turns on the cooking compartment light,
regardless of whether the oven is in operation.

mode.

and to determine the energy efficiency class.
